چکیده

HTMA (hair tissue mineral analysis) is an exciting and important medical screening test designed to provide a lot of information rapidly and inexpensively. Used correctly, as explained later, it is an extremely sophisticated method for removing all toxic metals, many thousands of toxic chemicals and hundreds of chronic infections from the body in a painless and inexpensive manner. From a technical view, hair testing is a biopsy type of test. A biopsy is an analysis of a body tissue. This one detects the levels of 20 or more minerals in the hair. Hair is a soft tissue of the body, so one can say that HMA is a soft tissue biopsy that uses hair as the sampling tissue. Hair is extremely useful for testing many things besides minerals. These include drugs, toxic chemicals and DNA. These, however, are not the focus of this article. At times I have heard people say that hair is not helpful for testing the body, when in fact the very opposite is the truth.

Reliability on Intra-Laboratory and Inter-Laboratory Data of Hair Mineral Analysis Comparing with Blood Analysis

BACKGROUND Nowadays, although its clinical value remains controversial institutions utilize hair mineral analysis. Arguments about the reliability of hair mineral analysis persist, and there have been evaluations of commercial laboratories performing hair mineral analysis. OBJECTIVE The objective of this study was to assess the reliability of intra-laboratory and inter-laboratory data at thre...

Coronary Calcification Is Reversely Related with Bone and Hair Calcium: The Relationship among Different Calcium Pools in Body

BACKGROUND With aging, calcium efflux from bone is increased with age-related bone loss, and it can reduce bone mineral density (BMD). On the contrary, age-related calcium adoption into arterial wall progressively stiffens blood vessels. Theses process insinuates shift of calcium among different pools in body. However, their relationships have not been elucidated yet. So we investigated the cor...

Secondary ion mass spectrometric investigation of penetration of coconut and mineral oils into human hair fibers: relevance to hair damage.

An attempt has been made to show the difference in the penetrability of coconut oil and mineral oil in human hair. We have used secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) in combination with a time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectrometer. Characteristic ions formed by the pure components when bombarded with gallium ions have been identified with their m/z values. The distribution of the ion, characterist...

Hair Analysis and Heavy Metals - Hidden Toxicity Detox

We are frequently asked, what does hair analysis reveal about heavy metals? First, heavy metals are so ubiquitous in our environment that everyone is exposed to them. They cannot be avoided completely and are found in virtually everyone to some degree. Most clinician’s are aware that hair tissue mineral analysis (HTMA) measures nutritional minerals and the heavy metals that are incorporated int...

Magnesium, calcium and trace elements distribution in serum, erythrocytes, and hair of patients with chronic renal failure.

Disturbance of mineral status in patients with chronic renal failure (CRF) is one of many complications of this disease. Trace elements analysis in hair is sometime used by clinicians for a diagnosis of mineral status. In the present study concentration of magnesium and other trace elements was determined in serum, erythrocytes, and hair of patients with CRF undergoing hemodialysis (n = 31) and...
